I've seen way worse that will cut good with a proper sharpening

 

Thanks for the reply. I was thinking the blade might have to be tossed. However, after sharpening, it did turn out well. I ground the nicks down until the blade was level, then put the edge on.

 

Sharpen and balance it.

 

I would replace it.
