I am interested in buying a zero turn mower to cut several lawns (up to 2 acres) and 4-5 acres in the VA foothills. The land is a bit hilly, but nothing really steep... I'm getting worn out using a walk behind mower.

I have about $3k to spend and have been looking at the Deere models, but I have read mixed reviews about them. I like Husqvarna products but also read mixed reviews about them.

I need something that is tough and won't slip on damp grass in the hillside.

I look forward to your suggestions.

Thanks

I can't offer info on the residential line of JDs but the commercial line are very well built. I have a commercial Z810A 48" and use it to cut 4-7 acres and on flat and hilly surfaces. Have you considered a good used commercial mower?

The ones you mentioned are good , just go to a mower shop , not a big box store , they look the same from the outside , but the ones at big box stores are built cheaper with cheaper parts.
