Troy Bilt decks are very brittle

I have about 5 sitting in the back of the shop with cracks on the deck

Hi, I am new to this site. I have a Troy-bilt Pony, bought new in 05, used it only one summer, spent most of my time troubleshooting and repairing it. The only "plus" I see in this mower is that it looks nice because of non-use.

I have a Troy-Bilt 12av5660711, 6.75HP, front drive walk behind. Wife picked it up at an auction when my Toro seized. Needed a few parts but it runs. Cuts well.

i have 17.5 hp 42” deck , not bad mower, just blades always turns. working on it
