New owner of Gravely ZeroTurn....

Purchased a Gravely ZT HD 60 in June 2010. Good mower but a couple of issues. One: Only turf tires are available and have trouble with traction. Two: Learned hour meter has a reset after change the oil but Owners Manual DOES NOT tell you about it. Thus a message will flash after oil change "Check Oil Now". Have not yet learned exactly how the reset works. Did as told by dealer and did not work.

Gil, sorry to hear about your woes. Hopefully, the dealer may be able to shed some more info on the problem. If not, the internet could be useful in finding a solution.

I happen to have a couple Gravelys. They are the 4 wheel type: a 16 G with a blown Kohler opposed Magnum engine and an 18 G with 298 hours on it. That runs nicely but I have yet to mow with it since the deck is in need of some repairs. My weekly mowing chores are handled by my Jacobsen built Ford LGT 125 with a 16 horse Kohler upgrade. That runs great and cuts well for a 1972 tractor.

New HD60

Recently traded my lemon/lime piece o'junk for a new Gravely. So far, I could not be happier. Seems like it's going to be a great mower. Seems like a very popular model too. I have about 4 acres that I cut and i'm looking foreward to an new season with a new mower!

Just found this forum. I have owned and used my ZT1740 for 5yrs and it has been trouble free except for the muffler on which I had to re-weld the exhaust pipe to it. I have about 350hrs on it as of now. I mow once every 4-5 days in the summer and mulch maple leaves about every 2-3 days for 6 wks in the fall.

Hi everyone,

I grew up running Ariens mowers and tillers with my Dad and Grandfather. This fall, after 10 years of running old second hand mowers, I was finally in the place to get a good, newer mower. I soon found the Ariens/Gravely ZT line was the best value on the market.

I'm now the proud owner of a very lightly used ZT 1842 XL with a power bagger. I mowed my yard once and bagged the leaves a few weeks ago before winterizing the machine for the year.

I hope I can contribute some information to forum and continue reading some other posts.

That's terrific, congrats on your new machine!!

We'll be looking forward to hearing all about it and how it works out for you.

It sounds like you're off to a great start by getting a winterized for the year so that it's already to go next spring.

Keep us posted and see you around the board!
