I have a Briggs and Stratton vanguard 9hp (161437) it has been apart for many years.
I’m currently putting it back together. But I can find a diagram for the throttle and governor mech. I think it’s missing some springs and a linkage, I just need a photo of a complete unit or someone that has done repairs before might remember what goes where?

Any query re a BS engine is easier to answer if it quotes the Model, Type and Code. Saves a bit of guess work!

unfortunately the numbers are near impossible to read.
My best guess is: 161437-0012-02
The diagrams I’ve found online are pretty similar to my setup. However they don’t show how the links and springs sit.
