Try this site Home. They make replacement ignitions that use stock automotive parts the are easily replaceable in the in the future should you need them. That place is not cheap but is cheaper than a Tecumseh unit should you find one. Converting to points would require replacing the side cover, cam and ignition system parts from a points engine. The points push rod used by Tecumseh is not available and is plastic and does wear out so you could SOL going to points also. Roger
Tecumseh HH120 ignition
I have 2 ss12 craftmans tractors and both have blown out solid state ignition systems and there are no replacements, has anyone tried to change over to points and coils on these?
