son a gun, It seems to me the wire/rod wont budge inside the coil wrapped housing. It seems it has not broke, It just won't slide inside the housing. I tried oiling . what is likely? I hate to take it to a shop.

I use penetrating fluids to free up my stuck cables. Oil isn't all that great for that. After I soak it down for a bit I flex/bend the cable up and down it's length. Soak, repeat till it frees up. Never had one beat me yet :2th:

You can use most penetrating lubricants to achieve this, although I got a free sample of this and it does work very well.....it's called, LUBRIPLATE Chain & Cable Fluid. Hope this helps.

well I think I now know the problem. I just purchased this machine, two days ago. Yesterday throttle cable was fine, this morning it didn't work. What changed????? the temperature dropped to freezing!!!!!!! Im hoping there is just a little water in the line that has froze. It finally dawned on me.:sidelaugh
