I have a Snapper HZS15422KVE . One of the last built with the JoyStick.

Completely satisfied. But having problem with the blade staying engaged.
Took it to the dealer and he replaced the switch. Still runs intermittently.

I think the clutch is Ogura.

Can there be a problem somewhere else. Perhaps a interlock switch?

Anything a home mechanic can do?

First thing you need to determine is whether the voltage is getting to the clutch. Here's some troubleshooting guides:
