I am in the process of replacing the steering sector assembly on my riding tractor and I am stuck at how to remove the old one. I have removed the battery, support bracket and have the steering shaft out of the way. I see that the sector is fed through a channel support with 2 small bolts through a plate on the bottom of the channel. I have not removed those as I am not sure that will help---I may be wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I found this exploded view in case you did not have one of it. Still rough to tell by looking at it exactly what all needs to be removed. Looks like maybe there is a bearing (#51) bolted to a frame cross member?

That's what I was wondering too. I think it is held in place by the 2 small bolts underneath and the bearing must be inside that small plate that is on the underside of that cross member. I have everything else removed what is another 2 bolts. I will keep everyone posted.
