OK, I'll start.

In my community there is a large Italian history. A lot of the small towns have small businesses that make what is called Ravioli. 99% of the country calls them Tortellini. The square ones, which are filled with meat, cheese, mushrooms, spinach, etc. are what the rest of the country calls Ravioli. (Similar to Chef Boy-Ar-De product). Those square (or round, whatever you can get) are used in this recipe.

Ravioli Bake

Very good dish similar to Lasagna

1 pkg commercial ravioli. (Not the good kind that are local to my area, but the store-bought kind that you'd never buy unless you had to. The square ones). Come in several flavors, take your choice. Spinach, Cheese, Meat, Portabello Mushroom, etc.

1 lb browned meat. Once again, whatever you like. Hamburger, Pork, Sausage, etc...

1 container pasta sauce. 24 oz is normal size. We use Hunt's brand that comes in the can. Very reasonable, tons of flavors. Once again, take your pick.

8 oz pkg Mozzarella cheese

Parmesan Cheese.

Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees.

Brown meat in sauce pan. Add any spices/herbs you like. I put in some oregano, basil, thyme, garlic, etc... Whatever you have and like. I'll put some chopped onion in while browning on occasion. When meat is browned, drain, return to pan. Add pasta sauce. Heat.

Spray casserole dish with non-stick spray. Spray sides as well. This makes cleanup for your wife, girlfriend, kids, or dog much easier.

Add just enough of the pasta sauce to the dish to cover the bottom of the pan.

Put about 1/2 of the ravioli in the casserole dish. Put about 1/2 of the remaining sauce/meat mixture over the ravs. Sprinkle 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese over top. Add rest of the ravs. Rest of the sauce. Rest of the cheese. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.

Make sure sauce pan is cool to the touch, then set on floor for cat/dog taste-test. If they sniff and walk away, order carry-outs. If they lick at least once, continue. (If the cat tries to cover the pan with a motion similar to one used while in the garden or sand box this is not necessarily a testament of your cooking skills.)

Cover casserole dish with lid or tin foil and bake for about 45 minutes. Take the lid/foil off for about 15 more minutes of baking if you like the cheese browned.

This is a very good meal and very easy to put together. Would make nice dish for a pot-luck dinner, etc...

The above recipe will easily serve 4 people with some left over.

We're actually having this for dinner tonite. Using sausage, cheese ravs, Hunts sauce. MMM-mmm, it's going to be good. It is actually better the next day after all the flavors have a chance to blend together. I'll give a report after I am able to move around again after dinner.
