My steering gets harder to turn after a few minutes of running,where do I start looking to solve problem problem?

The fluid is ok,this tractorhas 900 hrs on it, I bought it new,but the tranny filter has never been changed ,would that do it.. and also can you get a kit for the front steering cylinder.
