Does anyone know if the 49065-7007 oil filter will work on the 29 horse kawasaki fx801 series engine. The 49065-7010 is the oem part but my dealer says the 7007 will work too. It is a larger filter. Just wondering.

I am not sure if that oil filter will work on your machine, but if the dealer stated that it would, then I would probably take their word for it. Generally, a bigger filter isn't a bad way to go either due to the increased media capacity.

They gave me the wrong filter. The bigger filter won't fit because of the drain surround. It takes the 7010.
