I’ve really got no explanation for this. I’ve seen several times the scaling, but not this far into the project. This is after sanding to bare metal, 2 coats of primer and 1 coat red. This is what happened after I sprayed the 2nd coat. Really pissed me off. I’ll admit it wasn’t going to be car show nice, but better than it was. Now I have to sand and start over. Only possibility I can think of is maybe the wife put something in the trash can in between coats and something dripped from the bag?

I've had that happen when using enamel from two different manufactures. Was one can enamel and the other lacquer?

Nope. 2 coats of primer. Can’t remember the brand. Then 2 coats rustoleum red. The 2nd coat didn’t go very well. All I can think to do is wait till weekend and try to lightly sand it out and try again.
