I'm needing you guys to confirm the torque spec for a flywheel nut on a Briggs 22hp vertical v-twin.

Model: 445777
Type: 0231 E1
Code: 031016YG

I found a Briggs page that lists the torque as 150 ft/lb. Here's the link.

http://www4.briggsandstratton.com/miscpdfs/RNT/Engine Specifications Chart_ms3992.pdf

I don't know about you guys, but that sounds really high to me. I've come across errors in manuals before and I don't want to snap a flywheel to find another.

What say you oh wise and benevolent sages?

That's the correct torque spec for most Briggs Intek V-Twins. If it were in in-lbs, that flywheel wouldn't stay on there too long, I don't think.

Thanks for the response Motorhead12. I'll go with 150 lb/ft then.
