I need some help finding out what model # my new (old) freebie mower is and what year model it is.

Its a John Deere Sabre 17.5 Kohler 42in automatic.

I have the engine model # but the engine is fine it just needs a new battery. I have quite a few other fixes to do but I cant order parts until I learn the model number. The mower does not have a model number listed on it anywhere.

This was a freebie from a family member that doesnt care to work on them. I want to fix it back to original condition.

txs mark now to begin ordering parts. Just got finished with my brothers murray riding mower. I adjusted the valves new solenoid new battery rebuilt the starter among a few other fixes. But i cant wait to get into this one. I just might need some help though, it looks like there are some deck problems and suspension problems.
