heys guys i figured it it out we took the engine a part again and thfound that the timing dots were about a fifth of a turn away from each other now i need to know how to get that cam gear off to realign them and hopefully it will fire up by tomorrow evening. please thanks

Here is your answer in the last post. Tells how to remove the camshaft. You have to remove the whole shaft to turn the gear:
