I need help with a 42"ariens Riding mower 18hp kohler
I just bought this mower from a guy who bought it new from home depot two yrs ago.
Only problem with the mower is ? I believe when they put the front steering axle on they put it on backwards. I straightened the steering wheel to where the tires are suppose to be straight. Now this is my problem,the left wheel looks great but! the right wheel points outward towards the right. When I try to drive straight forward the wheels act like a snake slithering in the sand. It is difficult to handle when trying to turn. No traction!! Now when I look at pictures of other mowers that look the same this one. The steering axle is facing forward. This mower on the other hand,its steering axle faces inward towards the engine and operator.... Just want to see if anybody knew for sure. Hopefully someone can help me out.

Problem Solved!!
Just as I figured the steering axle was in backwards.It took a little work but I was able to fix the steering problem. The mower works just as it should.( Now whoever is in charge of the assemby for Arien. Needs to double check the product before shipping to consumer.) If it may be Ariens or Home Depot.
