Mustang RZT Deck Height Spring

Hello all!

I was mowing the other day and noticed that my deck will no longer stay at the proper height. On closer inspection, I noticed that the spring that holds the Deck Height Handle in place has either come loose or broke so that now the handle will not stay in the proper height notch that I set it at.
I still see a spring attached to the handle, but I cannot locate where it might attach at. Can anyone tell me or did something else that attaches to the spring break as well?

Thank you.

First, welcome to the group. Let's see if we can answer that question.

Is it spring # 27 shown in this parts diagram and the arm you are talking about #39?

If so, it looks like it has a hook at one end that probably goes into a hole to hold it in place, while the other end presses against the handle. As you suggested, it either came loose from where it is supposed to be, or one of the ends has broken off.
That looks to be it. I'll have to double check when I get home this evening.
Pretty sure that's it and it seems to still be in one piece, but I cannot figure out where its supposed to hook on at. Any ideas?
