Mower wont cut unless this button is depressed fully Mountfield 1330m REVERSE GEAR CUTTING CONSENT BUTTON.
Its a friends mower ride on, going to have a look at it but thought I would ask if anyone has come across this problem before.

Has the mower been in service and operate normally for awhile? Did this just start happening?

Hi yes it has been in use but they have taped this switchdown so they can use machine, I have to visit yet for a look may just be faulty switch but haven't worked on this brand before. Thanks.

I am reading this as if they have been using it with the button taped down for a long while. Is it possible they are not operating the unit as shown in the manual? Maybe they misunderstood a run procedure and do not have a control / key switch in the correct position?

Hi that is a possibility,will have to go for alook a stomach bug is preventing me at the moment,spoke to a dealer and he thinks possibly loose wire in back grass box sensor behind chute.
