I have a lawn boy 2 stroke engine which was hard to get running. It would hit a few times and sometimes run and sometimes not so I decided to clean the carburetor and put in a new fuel line and see if that would help. Now I can't get it to run at all, it just pops a time or two and dies. I doubt if I have the carb mixture screw set correctly, does anybody know how many turns out I should have it? Or any other suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I would start at approx 1 1/2 turns out. Is the choke working properly? do you know for certain that fuel is entering the carburetor? Don't spray starting fluid into the engine, but you could put a few drops of gas/oil mix into the throat of the carb and see what happens. Is the spring on the governor connected properly? Some basic questions, but all important, none-the-less.
