I have a Lawnboy lawnmower with a Kohler engine. Model Ph-xt 149. I have removed the sump to replace the gasket and after reassembly the engine now races out of control. I have not touched anything on the governor. Is there a certain way the sump goes back together that. I have missed? Cannot figure out why it races?? HELP!!

Looking at the parts view, I would guess that,when you had the sump off, part of the governor assembly got misplaced. I could only find reference to the governor assembly on the Kohler web site. The part number 14-310-02S seems consistent throughout the model series. You will have to check with your model / serial number to be sure.
