John Deere lt155: Wiring Question

I'm trying to get a John Deere LT155 mower back together, and I'm wonder if anyone knows where/what this wire (see attached) goes to?? It was tucked behind the battery and not plugged into anything.

Is the other end connected to the battery? The end you show looks like the lead to my Battery Tender.

Think it might be for a diode to plug into. They had a 3 amp and later a 15 amp alternator and variations of the wiring depending which circuit was used.

Edit: Also a diode in the safety switch shutdown circuit that might have a plug that looks like that.
One possible location for it I found

Just a wild guess but could it be a connection for the electric blade engagement if so equipped? Tracing it back to where it connects would help a bunch. Maybe it's part of the starter interlock or safety system too.

Mark???? Really miss you at SBF. Glad to see your still up and kicking brother. Someone ( undertaker) said they thought you moved to Florida.
