Hey there everyone. I need some help here. I have a John Deere model 65 RER with a Foose differential. There is a bit of side-to-side play. Is this normal? Or, does this indicate excessive wear? The bevel gears look fine, they still mesh perfectly, as far as I can tell. I ask this because there is a slight "binding" noise occasionally when in reverse. The mower otherwise runs perfectly and I would hate to see that change as a result of something like this. Thanks....:dunno:I almost forgot, the left hand shaft ( the shorter side) Has to be driven through the brass bushing to remove it. The right hand side slides easily through the bushing. However, there is no apparent "wiggle" when assembled.
