Have a John Deere with Kawasaki engine 17 hp that usually surges at most RPM's when idling,
anybody have any thoughts. Thanks a lot, Deeremoonkid

My F525 (17 HP Kawasaki) does that at idle after I fuel it. I fuel it & drive it about 100' to the shed, 1/2 throttle or less. The rest of the time, it runs fine! ~~ grnspot110

could be as simple as the vent in the fuel tank cap or maybe the bowl vent on the carb. Maybe the air filter or precleaner needs replacing or carb adjustment. Good luck!!
