I purchased a used 757 a few months ago, I have noticed that the cut about 6" in from the discharge isn't clean cut. Seems like it is leaving a streak on every pass. Anybody seen this?

Check to see if the blade is bent or worn down beyond the limits or the lift portion of the blade is worn down as well not pulling the grass up into the cutting path.

One more thing you could check is the blade spindle bearings. If they get bad enough to allow for some wobble in the blade they'll start tearing the grass.

:ditto: I'm with Five Points and Mark; a worn blade or spindle would likely cause the issue. Also, are you sure that the blade in question is the right length?

I sharpened the blades and put them in differ spots than what they came off to eliminate a bad blade. I checked the spindle when I had the blades off, and found no play or wobble.
