Jasobsen Rider

I thought I would add a new thread. I just bought a used Jacobsen Rider with a 6 foot cut front mount. It has a 4 cyl ford powerbuilt engine.

The mower did not come with a manual and I cannot find any model numbers etc on the mower. Can anyone help me?

What is the Model and does anyone know the engine?

I have pictures of it

Thanks
Tim

I would guess some model of TurfCat. Is the engine gas or diesel? Any numbers you can find on the engine? No numbers anywhere on the chassis?

Yes the mower is gas. Looks like a ford industrial engine. I looked all over for numbers but cannot find any. Is there a special place I should be looking at? THanks
That sure was a predecessor to the Jake's that I operated on the grounds crew back in the mid to late 1990's. Jacobsen Tri-King, the 3-winged rough mower (turf cat I think) which resembles your pics, and the fairway mowers. Can't remember the exact models since it has been over ten years, but they were some good equipment to operate. Just hated backlashing the reels on the fairway mowers from time to time. Time consuming, but when done right, that bent grass was beautiful to hit a golf ball off of. Nice pics! I'll try and dig up some of those old pics soon.

Unfortunately I don't know exactly where they put the tags on them. I would think though normally around the seat and steering somewhere.

Maybe they have been painted over?
I have a 1995 Cushman 72" Frontline mower, which was bought out by Jacobson. The Cushman model numbers were on the engine cowl. Your's may have been painted over.
