Well all you folks that have Verizon your lucky day is Feb 10, 2011 the iPhone is is going to be available. So how many of you are going to take the plunge into the iPhone?

I am not too familiar with all the plans and features, but probably not. Too much $$ for no more than what I would use it. It would be handy to have in certain situations, tho. I would imagine some others will be considering it, tho.

My Verizon phone is supplied and paid for by my employer. They have been talking about upgrading as our phones are several years old now. I doubt I will be able to talk them into i-phones but the worst they can say is no when I ask.

The basic plan is a bit costly whether you are with AT&T or Verizon if you look at it all dollar and cents. The thing is how much do you want to be able to check your e-mail, get on the internet real quick and check something. As with most phones this thing can take pictures, it also has fun little apps that can very additive.

If you are can live with a basic phone I encourage folks to check out something that is not a phone but can do everything that the iPhone can less the phone part and that is a iPod Touch. They are similarly priced to the iPhone but no monthly bills and it now can take pictures, can do your e-mail (its a basic app on the iPod) and cruise the internet on a wifi connection, When my wife and I travel to the Philippines we use the iPod Touch a lot, it prevents us from being socked with a high phone bill for international charges on iPhones.
