OK, I saw this thing half buried under stuff and rusted, so I honestly can't telly you if you're wrong or right (unless you post a pic, I guess), but I figured it might be a fun exercize.

Details:

Deck appeared red
Engine was white
Engine pointed 'backwards' (spark plug faced rear)
Handles were old style that look like >==<
No auto shutoff.
Plastic discharge chute
Slide throttle on handles.
Decal on back said 'No 4920 20" mower"

Any guesses?

Beats me. I did see a few of those there, so I'd say there's a pretty good chance of that being the case.
