Boats.net pretty much shows every part you could ever need to build the whole mower. They tell you you can't get what you're looking for?

I've never seen a free service manual for any of the Honda's. They give the owner's manual away on their site, but that's probably not what you're looking for for a tear down and repair.

Well I have had my Honda HR214 for 13 years and it starts first pull every time I would recomend a Honda to any one. How did it get bent first off then can you take it apart and have it straightend. I f you take it apart and have the shop staighten it you could have it back up all in one day.
Next I would try craigslist or Ebay.

Under a year old!? Is it not under warranty? If they can't provide an engine ask them to replace the whole mower! 1200.00+ for a commercial push mower....I think they would be willing to help you out with this. Have you talked to a Honda rep?

I would say it is not covered by warrenty because I hit something and bent it.......

I have been talkng to

Plano Power Equipment
1414 N. Central Expressway
Plano, TX 75074
(972) 423-5220 voice

and these guys are just great. they can get me a crank or a complete engine.....going to be dealing with them now! just sucks that two of the closest Honda dealers are just a joke......

the part that just makes my blood boil is from day one this thing has had so many issues that I was contemplating letting it die this time. but it looks cheep to fix now. this is suppost to be a comerical grade mower yet everything on it except the engine just is low grade! it is my fault for bending the crank but they could engineer many things on it better.....here is my list of things that Honda should look at

1 the pull cord should be short or have a tube around it so it dont snag tree branches when you go by on the right side!

2 the throttle controls should have a guard in front of it so when you pass by a tree branch on the left side it dont shut down the engine!

3 the bag is the biggest pain in the a$$ to put back on......if it is out 1/32 of an inch it wont go on. and I take this thing on and off how many hundreds of times a day......its a comerical mower?

4 the bag could be bigger but I guess I can live with this! lol

5 the rear flap that drags on the ground it worn off in less than the first month? make it thicker or better!

6 the front bumper is good for nothing?

7 if you hit the slightest thing the THIN metal that serrounds the blade bends so easy.......WTF

8 it would be nice to have a adjusting wheel height by a leaver set up so all wheels can be changed with one leaver quickly....

9 maybe some caster front wheels with a steering lock like snapper made

10 some thing that keep the cables from being snag by tree/shrubs and bending and kinking them........think I went through 2 all ready in less than a year!

11 better wheel design......like toro with a replace ment rubber part.......1/3 the price of a honda wheel

12 this mower will not pick up a small 2 inch pine cone......it has zero vacuum effect......and you cant buy a high lift blade.....would be nice to have that option.

13 honda needs better customer service! it is a JOKE!

SORRY FOR VENTING! LOL

basically for the price this mower is a joke.......the good points are

it is great on Gas, and it climbs any hill with the hydrostatic drive! I love that..... well untill I need to fix it.....bet it is expensive!

I have two different blades for my HR214. One is number VA4-641, that listed as a mulching blade, and is used together with blade number VA3-810U for their quadra cut system.

The other one is blade number VA2-690. The "wings" on the end of it are quite a lot higher than the mulching blade, and definitely give higher lift for bagging. You might want to ask them about that second blade.
