Hi everyone. I’m trying to check the coil on my 14SB. I ran into a problem. I can’t get the flywheel bolt loose so that I can take off the dust cover. I love my mower, but into this thing is a pain.
Any help at all is appreciated.
Thanks! Pictures below.

Disconnect the plug lead. Tie the blade brake clutch bar up, and hold the blade.
Or have I misunderstood the question?

remove the spark plug, find some rope about 12" long at least, that will fit in the plug hole, feed into the hole until it won't feed anymore, loosen your flywheel nut.
done it like this for years.

Scrub, thank you. I got the cover off. A neighbor actually come by with an electric impact drill before I got this message, but I save it in my notes for next time. You’re a life saver! Thank you so much. I cleaned up the area around the magnet that generates the electricity with the flywheel, and it helped! It was pretty dirty. I appreciate all your very practical advice. Not sure why this was so hard to find on YouTube. Usually, YouTube is a pretty good resource.
