I've been wanting to install a horn on my Craftsman for quite a while, has anyone here doen it? I play with my kids with their riding toys and it would be fun to beep at them and it would also be nice to beep at the neighbors when they come out since I'm such a friendly guy.

I've put horns on several mowers over the years! It started when my Irish Setter was getting older & didn't hear as well, I called the first one "my Red Dog allert system". :D

Now I even have a "compact" air horn on my 317 "Special" parade tractor.

You can get fairly inexpensive replacement 12V car horns at most auto supply stores, along with a push button. Be sure to put a properly sized fuse in the wiring! ~~ grnspot110

I put a horn on my Wheel Horse 418, mainly to annoy the wife. Get a cheap horn, universal button, fuse and a horn relay. Finding a place to mount it can be a challenge. I mounted mine on the side near the dash. Wire relay coil from ignition, through switch to ground. Wire horn from battery to n/o contact on relay to horn to ground. Good luck!

Should be a pretty simple project. The relays are about $4 at auto stores. I made a starter relay out of one and some wire for my John Deere. Very simple to hook up and get working. Fun, tll.
