I mow around about 180 small trees in chicken wire cages with my Ariens ZTR. The "stock" blades are the high lift variety and work pretty well. When I get near a cage, I can see the deck sucking up the grass and as I pass, it has cut it well. I have considered Gator Blades and have read some reviews. (ALL positive) but one of the things they say is that Gator Blades are not high lift type blades. I think I need the high lift feature so that I don't have to get quite as close to the cages. I would really appreciate any thoughts and experiences.

I believe that the Gator blades are high lift blades. They do have a greater lift angle than the OEM blades I had from JD.
