After going thru 4 mowers in 7 years, I've decided to go a bit more heavy duty this time around...
Started with 25 acres of overgrown strip mine area and we were mowing a doggie yard near the motorhome that was about 10 by 20 ft. That was with a "wally world wonder" push mower we have upgraded that to a stainless, self propelled walker/ bagger, which is about to buy the farm...at an acre we added a Husqvarna 52 garden tractor and a JD HD grass whip/blade... A few years later my father gave me a near new Sears basic 42 rider with bagger... A year later the husqvarna deck could no longer take the beating, so we sold it and got a Cub Cadet ZTR 50... At 7 acres plus an ocassional trip to the ponds for a day The Cub cadet collapsed... After less than three years the deck had been welded/rebarred and rewelded to the limit and the right tranny went TU... Sold it to a tinkerer... Now I'm looking to make a more sensible decision this time, so I came here to learn and ask... Tom the Mowerless
