I have an old 1500 series mtd, i was told it was a 1969 it runs great . It is pto driven, but i can't find any info on it. I will post pictures as soon as i can. I thought it was a little brother 990 but thats only 10 hp not 15hp like mine.

Hi simpleman, welcome to the group. Look forward to seeing your tractor. MTD has made some great tractors in their time. I once had a small 700 series MTD, and actually got quite a lot of information about it by contacting MTD. They were able to tell me that mine was a 1969 as well by providing them the serial number.
