Hi I'm new to this forum. Just purchased my first real mower. An ariens 54 xl. Should arrive next week, and I look forward to sharing info, stories, and just having some fun here. Will post pics when she arrives.

Thanks for the replies guys. I have about 3 acres to cut with our new house and I hope this is the right machine for the job.It took some searching but i found a new 2011 model which still has the 24 hp kawi rather than the Kohler courage, and I saved a few bucks buying last years model. My user name is my bbq team name btw.
