SWEET Bryan but you showed a lot of.................COURAGE to go get it!! ;) :whatdoyouthink: :Aetsch: :Bannana:  :sidelaugh :Gasp: :scared:
Seriously looks good. Number one rule when getting a tractor, COMPRESSOR!! We use a pancake compressor filled before we leave! Saved us a TON!
We never drive them on, had too many close calls in past, just muscle it on now.
Number one thing is a good cleaning to see what you have. Sounds like a lot of sitting issues, deck pulleys tight/seized, gas in oil. Carb clean and new battery for sure. WD-40 on all the joints and look for damage. See it looks like possible missing deck spindle cover on left side. Think you got yourself a good first machine restore!! ;)

I like how the deck is looking. But it seems like the more I clean it, the more work it looks like it needs. :Banghead:

Called a local dealer and discussed the steering. He seems to think it could be the steering spindles as well, if not the draglinks like I think. Spending $100 on new draglinks and then having to spend another $100 on spindles if one or both are bent. Does anyone know a cheap way to fix the bent steering?:Ugh::feedback::Thinking hard::Thinking:

At the minimum if the new draglinks come in and I compare them to the old ones and they are identical, I will definitely be sending those back and ordering a new set of spindles then.
There is a tie rod between the wheels under the tractor, last Craftsman we had was similarly bent, of wait the Huskavarna was! Anyway it was bent upward, try that first!!! Bent it straight!

Look at it this way, get those expenses into asking price! Your overhead is SO high with cost of purchase of this machine and all!!! ;) Also added selling point!

Bryan after its all said and done most likely $600 asking and see what they offer. Up here get LOWBALLED badly! I'd get offers of $150-300 on machine like that. I'd go with how your local machines sell for!
