I am posting this because at the end of last season I bought a Ferris 2100Z Vanguard 810cc (28 HP) EFI with Oil Guard and I LOVE IT! The other reason is I see very little about Ferris ZT mowers and was wondering if anyone has had any issues with this machine and engine?

I hope I made the right decision buying this machine, as I usually don't buy new and 10K for a mower was quite the expense. However; every-time I get on the mower (now with just over 30 hours of cut time) I am happy I did it. I have cut my mowing time down by more than half. Can't say it enough - I LOVE IT! and I would like to hear from other Ferris ZT owners.

Thanks for ready.

I now have 84 hours on this beast and I cannot believe how much I enjoy cutting grass. It is outstanding - fast, throws grass well and by far the best mower I have ever owned. I have cut my cut my mowing time by 2/3rds. OUTSTANDING - Did I already say that.

New here but just saw this. I have a Ferris 2100z with the 26HP Vanguard and also love it. I bought it 4 years ago when I built a house on a 14 acre pasture that we intended to have cows on. Now we have a 2nd commercial ZTR (JD 930R) and no cows ... I think the ship has sailed on that one. Anyhow, not one bit of problem with the Ferris so far, hope the same for you.

244 hours and ready to get onto season 5. This thing is a beast so far, I hope I didn't just queer my luck. That said, this winter I replaced spark plugs, air filter, oil filter and oil. She should be good to go for another summer.
NOTE: I did have the hydro's services at about 120 hours (after second season) even though the dealer/guy that answered the phone said, I wouldn't change the hydro oil because he has commercial guys never change them and they get over 1,200 hours. Well, I hope to have this thing for many more years and a $200 service is cheap insurance. Just sayin.
