I have a Toro GTS5 600 super pro recycler 2 with the blade clutch.
I can't find anywhere on the engine that tell me who makes the engine. It is an OHV. There is a Toro stamp on the engine housing. May have been a sticker aqt one time.

From what I was able to dig up, it appears they came with Briggs and Stratton 6 hp engines.

I beleave that is what it is also. I need a gasket for the OHV cover and can't find a serial or other information on the mower to find the part number. I will just go to a supplier with the cover and see what he comes up with.

Commonly Toro puts a model tag on the rear of the deck between the rear wheels and Briggs at least used to stamp the numbers in the shroud just above the spark plug and head.

Toro lawnmowers commonly are a 2xxxx number. If you can come up with that and better yet a serial number to go with it, you can lookup what engine it has on Toro's website:
