I have a 1315 Cub Cadet that is now about 20 years old. it decided it wanted to be a push mower when I finished the yard last week. I pulled up on the clutch and it moved along fine. I went to the dealer and purchased a new belt thinking that would fix the problem. it did not I went back and purchased the return spring and put it on. It seemed to be better but after the mower cools off some it starts slipping along again.
I let it sit for almost an hour and when I put it in gear to put it in the garage it didn't want to pull very good at all.

Anybody else had this problem or have any ideas?

I am at a loss.

Thanks Tim

Greetings, Trice, and welcome to MLMF. I am afraid I am not familiar with your machine, but there should be someone along here that will be able to lend a hand shortly. We'll get you fixed up in no time.

Driveline problems

I took a closer look at the 1315 with the deck off of and found that the idler pulley on the drive belt that, is located next to the crankshaft on the motor was locking up.

I installed the new pulley and took it out for a spin and that seems to have taken care of the problem.

Thanks Tim
