Just wanted to share a tool tip that might be helpful for those replacing the blade brake clutch on a John Deere 14SB (or JX75, etc.).
I replaced the BBC on my 14SB last night (had a bearing that was noisy and getting ready to go out). During the changeout, I discovered that a pair of brake spring pliers made the task of removing and reinstalling the heavy -tension BBC spring a piece of cake. I just hooked one jaw the pliers over the circular cowling that blade rotates in and hooked the other jaw to the end of the spring. It made what was formerly a difficult task really simple and easy!

(FYI: took this image before starting the project, and yes, I did remove the blade before removing the spring and BBC :) )
