Here you can see with almost surgeon like precision how delicately I shave off a half inch or so of water to clean the under-deck on our beloved GT 2550...
I have two CCs. One is a new LTX 1054 with a bagger.
The other is an SRC 621 self-propelled that I just picked up (along with a Jacobsen 321 4-blade) for $20.00 for the pair. (i.e. $10.00 ea.) Both were "non-running".
I put in a new plug, and the CC started. It didn't run real well until I cleaned up the linkages to the carb, then it ran fine.
Didn't shift all that well, and the clutch was a bit flaky. I replaced all of the cables, and it now runs like new. I figure with the original cost, plus the cables, ad plug, that I have a total of $75.00 in it. Pics below.
Cub Cadet SRC 621 Lawn Mower. The original owner gave up on her just because she smoked. All that was wrong was a bad head gasket. See what happens when you use cheap fuel on a high compression engine? Easy fix. Runs like a dream now. Great Kawasaki engine. I also cleaned up the self propel system and all 6 speeds work fine. It's the one on the left!
Here are a few pictures of my International Cub Cadets!
Left to Right, 1965 Cub Cadet 100, 1968 Cub Cadet 125, and 1967 Cub Cadet 104.
These pictures are quite old, 2 years old now. All of the machines have been restored, and look like they would have at the factory. If it wasnt raining, I would take an updated picture today,
Well, not in any way most of you would call a restoration. I've fixed several things, painted the plastic and robbed the seat of the Snapper for it.

I wish I had pictures of the old Cubs (and others) I used to have. That predates digital cameras and the thought of taking pictures of tractors with a film camera never occurred.
