Hello, new to the forum. My mower wont go anywhere once I put it in gear. I can see that there is a belt not on a pulley under the seat, but I cannot get to that pulley. Does anyone know how to get the framework off so I can replace the belt?

Thanks in advance.

You cnn start removing bolts to take the rear fender assembly off but you can also take off the deck and put the mower on its side and you can access the belt or raise the mower up by the front. If you have a lift table raise it and you can work the old belt off and a new one on. May have to loosen belt guides but many times you can squeeze the new belt by them. Not an easy and clean job but can be done without removing a lot of sheet metal.

Can you take some photos for us? I always work from below to get to the belts if at all possible. Either way you'll likely have to pull the mower deck to get to the engine pulley and idlers. Also one of the idlers will probably be spring loaded to hold tension on the drive belt.

I realize this is an older post, but those I'd throw in my .02 worth.
If the belt is just off, what I've done is just lower the deck (not dismantle.. just use the lever to lower it) depress the clutch with my left hand and use my right hand to follow the belt and place it back on the back pulley.
