I almost have my Cooper Klipper completely disassembled for restoration except the drive-side shaft key. The bearing cup doesn't seem to be able to be pushed in far enough to pull the key out. Is there a trick to pulling the key out? The key slides through a slot in the shaft to hold the drive-side plate in place during assembly and I'd rather not grind down the slot on the bearing cup to get it out.

Ok, I ended up solving it by accident. Apparently when you set it on the floor and push on the plate, you depress the spring that is underneath and then magically you have plenty of clearance to remove the key!
