The mower is a Simplicity Cobalt 27 HP (Model number: 2690479). The pulley is for the right side hydro gear pump. I just can't figure out how to get it off. Using a puller it feels like I am going to bend the pulley.

Sorry it wouldn't let me embed the pictures in the post or attach them. I think they are too large.

Both Pullies in this one. You can see how the right one is wet from leaking fluid. I have removed the two bolts going into the "tapered bushing". https://onedrive.live.com/redir?res...authkey=!AJv4CZNFhJpwOeo&v=3&ithint=photo,jpg

This is a picture of the left pulley. I was trying to see if there was some kind of set screw in the smaller holes but couldn't get a good view. The two bolts are still in this one.

Closeup of the right pulley with the two bolts removed. https://onedrive.live.com/redir?res...authkey=!AHfxtIQRffYu22E&v=3&ithint=photo,jpg

Top view of the pumps if anyone is interested.

Hello tcox8. I am thinking it is a stubborn pulley is all! Not sure but you may need the puller AND some heat! Did you look on Simplicity's web site for the service manual for your machine?? They give them to you and it is a great resource! I got one for my Simplicity!

I resized and attached your photos. :2th:

They went on so have to come back off somehow. Wondering if there was anyway to get into them enough to drive a screwdriver as a wedge into the slot? Maybe that would help break it's grip on the shaft. As usual all this stuff is designed with how fast they can pop it on at the factory with special tools in mind and with little thought as to how the poor guy latter in the field will get it apart for repairs.

Yeah I have the manual but it doesn't say how it comes off. Just shows the bolt and in fact only shows one bolt instead of two.

Thanks for resizing the pictures!
