Hi,

I know the complete irony of this post. It is not lost on me. I bought the broadmoor for 500 dollars. I noticed though it is not moving as fast forward as it moves backwards. I had not noticed this prior because i had not gone backwards full speed.

What could be a reason why it is moving forward slower than backwards?

Clearly, i did not become an expert in this moments after buying the mower. I should have known yet i went ahead.

Cuts nicely though, just slowly.

Hello, it needs the hydrostatic shifter adjusted. We had similar issue with a Duetz- Allis. Not sure where it would be, usually a slot bolt on linkage! Hope this helps!

Belated welcome, Billie :howdy:

I'm on board with Eric - 'cause I've heard of similar circumstances where the machine just wasn't up to speed during forward motion. It was an adjustment on the hydrostatic drive unit that was the fix. (mind you, this was a few years back)
