Hi,
I have a LT1050 tractor that blows a fuse when replaced. It started while mowing, the tractor shut down. The 20A fuse was blown, I replaced it and it immediately shorted while the tractor was off. I looked it over and didn't find any broken or chaffed wires. I put an ohm meter on the fuse and it showed a closed circuit. The two wires traced to a sensor on the carb bowl and the other to a resister block(?). Thats where Im at, Im not sure if the circuit is supposed to be closed when the tractor is off and not sure if the resistor block or sensor is bad or if there is some else that is the cause. Thanks for the input.

If it blows while the tractor is off and the key is in the off position, you may have a bad ignition switch. The little contacts on the inside of the switch can break and rattle around and possibly be shorting out.
Just a thought if there is nothing grounding out and you have no chaffed wires.
