I voted Toro but honestly it (2000 cast aluminum deck model) and an MTD I still use that was bought back in the late 1970's are the only two recycler/mulcher lawnmowers I have experience with. :)

Out of the manufactures listed, I've only used Honda and they've always worked fine for mulching.

As with any mower, you get the best results when you have a clean deck underneath and you periodically clean it out as you go when needed. Especially when the lawn is wet as it's going to stick to everything, but that'll happen to any mower.

I have a Lawn Boy Platinum (green Toro Super Bagger). Many times when mulching I get a grinding noise from under the mowing deck. This mower seems to struggle sometimes. I am not cutting off too much at a time, I mow slow, and the grass is dry. It also leaves those grass circles when i turn the mower. Great mower for bagging but I am finding I may need something better for the thick bermuda grass.
