update: not sure whether to adjust clutch spring, adjust variator or replace spring and/or variator? thanks again, john
beloved john deere 214 variator issues
hi folks, i have a john deere 214. when i pull up on the clutch, it speeds up. i have sprayed dry graphite on the variator. it is free but might be binding. not sure whether to replace clutch spring or variator? also is it hard to take out the variator? i see one bolt and a spring to be taken off. i think the variator is worn out and binding?? thanks very much. john
