Need some help, I have a ariens gt18 md#931033. I have been troubleshooting an electrical problem with the charging circut. When I turn the key to the on position it immediatly blows the 30amp fuse the is tied into the starter solenoid and the amp. guage. I have a second gt18 also and have compaired the two and wiring seems the same meaning there doesnt seem to be any crossed wires. The stator is putting out 30vdc. If i put in a bad rectifier it doesnt blow the fuse tractor runs fine it just doesnt charge. Maybe someone has an idea. Thanks for any help.

The new rectifier has either a short in it or in its wiring. Find a different rectifier or the wire that is shorted. Roger
