Looks like my mower tranny finally gave up the ghost. I only got 3 laps around the yard, and it stopped. No moving forward or reverse. I thought maybe it was the drive belt, but I can move the mower manually when it's in gear. I could never do that before.
Did my tranny go out? If so, what's the difficulty to replace it? I don't exactly have the coin to replace the mower currently. Are these units expensive? I am good with tools mechanically inclined.
Any help is greatly appreciated!!!

There's good clue. Being a hydro there should be a bypass lever that when activated allows the tractor to be pushed. Maybe it has been partly released and finally moved to the full bypass position? Another thought would be on the drive wheels there are splines or a key to keep the wheel from turning on the axle shaft. Might have sheered one of those keys.
